E-filings Change of venue from Supreme Court to family court ?

Q: I think I may have made a mistake in terms of court and would like to make a switch . How is it done ? Do I file an order to show cause for it to be processed quickly or a simple classic motion to change the venue ? My court hearing in the Supreme Court is scheduled the 5th of next month that’s why I would like to rush it and get the judge or whoever have the power to transfer the court where I’m at ( Supreme Court to the next one ( Family court ). What should I do please ?

A: If your case is the only one pending in Supreme, then it’s easier than you think. Simply withdraw your motion & then file a Petition in Family Court. Bear in mind if your case involves child support, then your relief only dates back to the date of your re-filed family Court Petition (not the withdrawn Supreme Court motion).
