Q: Is breaking a court order restraining order 4 times a felony?

A: In & of itself, the number of times the order of protection is violated doesn’t necessarily make it a felony versus a misdemeanor. One would need to know whether the prior violations resulted in convictions, and also the manner of the violation (e.g., was it a violation of a stay away provision, was violence/weapon involved, etc.).
